Event Details

Dried Fruits Australia is running an irrigation workshop for all dried grape growers as part of it's Hort Innovation-funded industry development program.

Water is the critical input for dried fruit production, and in a year where supply security is low, it becomes the single biggest decision issue for all irrigation businesses. With the 2019–20 irrigation season looking uncertain, it’s time to think about how to manage irrigation and the types of decisions a low allocation season may bring.

The program will include:

  • Matching soil, plants and water: Kym Luitjes, Sunraysia Environmental
  • 2019–20 season allocation outlook: Tyson Milne, Lower Murray Water
  • Current water market trends: Phil Grahame, Ruralco Water
  • Planning decisions for a low allocation season: Jeremy Giddings, Agriculture Victoria

Stick around for a barbecue at the end!
