Project aimed to develop a vigour index to assist interpretation of petiole nutrient analysis; establish soil nutrient availability guidelines for dried vine fruit production; develop petiole sap tests for nitrate and potassium in Sultanas and  study grapevine crop responses to iron, zinc and growth retardant sprays. Joint project between CSIRO and Agrciulture Victoria (DFRDC project no. CSH 53)
