Description

Trellis drying is one technology which allows dried grape producers to mechanise harvest and pruning operations, resulting in cost savings. Achieving adequate coverage of all berries with drying emulsion is essential for the production of high quality trellis dried grapes. Therefore, improvements in the application of drying emulsion are constantly being sought to improve quality and reduce production costs. This project looks at a water-soluble adjuvant to see if it can improve the spreading of drying emulsion and reduce spray volumes without affecting the quality of grapes produced. (HAL project no.
